Here is a studio shot from Dr. Joe Vitale’s session at Rubicon last week. He had Joe Vitale the drummer in for the session (of Eagles, Neil Young, an Crosby, Stills, and Nash fame among many others) as well as Glenn Fukunaga (Robert Plant, Eliza Gilkyson, Terri Hendrix, etc). What a room full of talent!
Read Joe’s rundown of the events here:

See that wall plug? We have all your normal Mic lines and such for tracking in the studio, but sometimes you just need that extra something…that extra punch…that extra MOJO. So you plug into the Mojo, and there you go.

Welcome to Rubicon…Fall 2011. Dan did some major renovations on the studio this summer and while it’s still the cozy home we know and love, there are now windows where walls used to be for better tracking. Patton Sparks are deep into the recording process on their EP (Lloyd Maines is set to overdub some steel next week, woohoo!) and we promise to be busy into the fall. We’re so excited!

Rubicon Resources: The List
Artists who embark on the Rubicon Year are given a list of books they will need over the course of their musical studies. Since we go holistic with our development program, they are not all music books, and definitely not all technical books. We’ll summarize them more in-depth in future blog posts, but for now, here is the whole shebang lined out. Music, business, self-improvement…comedy. We like to be well-rounded.
